Hello, and welcome to La Volpe Boxers Web Site.

Please take note of what you are about to read and see. None of it, except the purchase of a pet, would have been possible without the help, guidance, and stud dog, of our friends and mentors, Valerie and Ken Rosenblum, to whom we are eternally grateful.
Please enjoy our site.

We are Tammy Pitsenbarger and Craig Fox. Together, we own and operate La Volpe Boxers, located in Streamwood, Illinois. We first started “in” Boxers, in October of 1996, with the purchase of a plain fawn bitch. At the time, we had no desire to show, so we bought “Sugar” strictly as a pet. It was for this reason, that her ears were left uncropped. She is a fine representative of the breed, with a great temperament, a nice head, and a good body to match. We enjoyed her so much, we decided that we wanted to breed her.

In February of 1999, “Sugar” was bred to Ch. Gold Medal's Limited Edition NA, NAJ, AG1, AG2, a Ch. Brettendale's Gold Medal, SOM son. “Carter” is owned by Valerie and Ken Rosenblum, of Gold Medal Boxers, located in Valparaiso, Indiana. From this breeding “Sugar” produced La Volpe Boxers' first litter of show prospects. The litter consisted of eight puppies, two males and six females. Every one of the pups was brindle. There were no whites or fawns. Of the eight, we kept three, one male and two females.
The male pup, “Groucho”, entered the ring on April 14, 2000. In his first match, he took third place out of five dogs in his twelve to eighteen month class. Not too bad, considering he only had a few hours of practice. He has since won, ten class Firsts, eleven class Seconds, seven class Thirds, two Reserve Winners Dog, two Winners Dog, two Best of Winners, and one Best of Breed. He is pointed, but is taking time off to mature.
Of the two females, “Wishbone” is OFA Good, Thyroid Normal, and is ECG Clear. She entered the ring for the first time August 25, 2001. She took first place in her class. The following day, August 26, 2001 she took first place again in her class, and also went Reserve Winners Bitch. We expect great things from her.
“Keisha” is currently OFA Fair, Thyroid Normal, and is ECG Clear. She was bred for the first time, to Ch. Moonstruck's Skies the Limit, on December 11th and December 13th. On February 9th 2002 it was determined that the breeding was unsuccessful.
Groucho is currently available to a show home ONLY.
